About Artifactory

Artifactory is a small storefront and an argument against endless catalogues. An object appears only when there is a convincing reason to make, rescue, or edition it. When the edition is gone, it is gone.

What exists now

The public shelf is deliberately short: one rescued mug, followed by one encrypted artifact. The encrypted piece is a promise to reveal less, not a claim that a warehouse of imaginary products exists behind it.

Proof before claims

The rescued mug avoids commissioning a new object, but Artifactory has not completed a lifecycle assessment and does not call the edition carbon-neutral. Future product pages will show what was measured, what was estimated, and where any supplier or climate claim came from.

Ordering & payment
Artifactory is a small, real storefront for made-to-order and rescued objects. Placing an order sends us your details; you are not charged at checkout. We reply by email with a confirmation and a secure Stripe payment link (or, where shown, you can pay instantly via a Stripe checkout button). Card details are handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store them. Prices are in USD and exclude shipping, which we quote on your confirmation.
Shipping & making
In-stock pieces ship within a few business days of payment. Made-to-order pieces begin once payment clears and list a lead time on the product. Artifactory aims to measure shipping emissions and fund verified climate action above the measured remainder; it will not describe shipping as carbon-positive until that evidence is published. You’ll get a dispatch note with tracking where available.
Returns
If something arrives damaged or not as described, email us within 14 days of delivery and we’ll replace it or refund it, return shipping on us. Made-to-order and personalised pieces (anything ordered to a brief) can’t be returned unless they’re faulty. This doesn’t affect your statutory rights.
Privacy
We use what you enter — name, email, shipping address, any note — only to fulfil your order and reply to you, and we never sell it. Payment is processed by Stripe under its own terms. A salted hash of your IP plus a timestamp is stored briefly to rate-limit the order form (not the message body, not your raw IP). No advertising, no third-party behavioural tracking. Your cart is kept in your browser’s local storage on your device only.
Terms of use
Use the site for lawful personal browsing and ordering. Don’t attack, probe, scrape, or overload it or its forms, and don’t misrepresent an affiliation with it. We may change prices, availability, or the site at any time; an order isn’t binding until we confirm it. The site is provided “as is” and, to the fullest extent the law allows, our liability for any claim relating to it is limited to the amount you paid for the order in question. Continued use means you accept these terms and the site-wide terms.
