Why repair

The fix is usually smaller than you think

Most devices that get thrown out aren't actually dead — a laptop with one failed fan, a console with a sticky drive, a phone with a swollen battery. The failure is small and specific. The decision to replace the whole thing instead is usually about not knowing that, not about the math actually favoring a new one.

We look at the specific thing that's wrong, tell you honestly what it costs to fix versus what it costs to replace, and let you make that call with real numbers instead of a guess.

Repair Services

Electronics Diagnostics

A real technician opens it up, runs the actual tests (power draw, thermals, drive health, board-level inspection under magnification) and tells you the specific part or fault, not "it's probably the motherboard." Free, no matter what we find, and we'll tell you straight if fixing it doesn't make sense.

Appliance & Hardware Repair

Screens, batteries, fans, hinges, charging ports, water damage, stuck drives, controllers that drift — laptops, phones, consoles, and small appliances. If a part is available and the board underneath is healthy, we'll quote it and fix it, usually cheaper than you're braced for.

Genuine or OEM-grade parts1–3 day turnaround

Data Recovery

Dead drive, corrupted partition, a deleted folder you need back today. We work off a byte-level clone of your drive first, so nothing you have left gets put at further risk while we dig for what's recoverable.

How it works

Three steps, no surprises

No walking in blind and no surprise invoice at the end. You know the price before anything gets opened up.

1

Tell us what broke

Drop it off, mail it in, or book a time. We run a full diagnostic before touching anything — that part's always free.

2

We quote, you decide

A real number, not an estimate that grows. If repair isn't worth it, we'll say so — no work starts until you say go.

3

We fix, you're covered

Most repairs turn around in a day or two, backed by a parts-and-labor guarantee on the work we did.

"My laptop sounded like a tiny orchestra of broken dreams. Turned out to be one $12 fan. I was three clicks away from buying a new one."

— Jamie P.

"Quoted me a real price, fixed it in a day, didn't try to upsell me on a plan I didn't need. That's apparently rare enough to write a review about."

— Sarah K.

"Recovered four years of photos off a drive I'd already written off. Worth every cent, would've paid double."

— Mike R.

"What does this error code mean?"

Mendy has connected. Your live tech is a text away if you need one.

CustomerMy laptop's throwing a blue screen with code 0x0000007B before it even finishes booting. Any idea what that means?
MendyThat code points to a boot-drive or storage-controller issue — the system can't reach the drive it needs to boot from. Try this first: boot into BIOS/UEFI and check whether the drive shows up at all. If you changed a boot-mode setting (AHCI/RAID) or a driver recently, that's the usual trigger. If the drive isn't detected in BIOS, stop rebooting it repeatedly — that's a sign of failing hardware, not something to keep retrying.
Jack · Live techConfirming Mendy's read — 0x7B on boot is almost always a storage handoff issue. One thing to add: if the drive isn't showing in BIOS and you didn't change anything, stop powering it on and off. Each attempt is more read/write stress on a drive that may already be failing. Bring it in and we'll clone it before touching anything, so a recovery's still possible either way.

"Not quite — here's why"

Mendy has connected. Your live tech is a text away if you need one.

CustomerMy phone's stuck looping the charging animation and won't fully turn on, but the charging icon does show up.
MendyThat usually points to a battery that's dropped below the safe voltage threshold. Leave it plugged in untouched for 30–45 minutes before trying to power on again — if it still won't boot after a full charge, it's likely a battery replacement.
Jack · Live techNot quite — because the charging icon is showing and animating, the battery's already taking a charge fine, so it's probably not the battery itself. A charging-loop with no full boot is more often the OS partition or a bad update install, not power. Bring it in and we'll try a controlled restore before we talk parts — most of the time this doesn't need a new battery at all.

Questions

Frequently Asked

How long does a repair actually take?

Most common repairs (screens, batteries, fans, ports) turn around in 1–3 business days once we've got the part in hand. The diagnosis itself is usually same-day. Data recovery and rare parts can take longer — we'll tell you a real window up front, not "a week or two."

What if it turns out you can't fix it?

You pay nothing for the diagnosis either way. If a repair genuinely isn't worth it, we'll tell you that plainly and point you toward what to do next — including how to responsibly recycle it if that's the right call.

Do you use genuine parts?

Genuine or OEM-grade, always disclosed up front so you know exactly what's going in your device before you approve the repair.

Is my data safe while you have my device?

We don't go browsing. For data recovery jobs specifically, we work off a byte-level clone so your original drive isn't touched further, and anything we access stays confidential.

What's actually different about the Care Plan?

The free diagnosis is free either way. The Care Plan is for people who'll be back, or who have more than one device to cover — it backs up your data before every repair, gets you a loaner if we need to keep yours overnight, moves you to the front of the queue, and knocks 10% off parts, for less than the cost of one screen replacement.

Do you offer pickup or mail-in?

Yes — local pickup/drop-off, or mail it in with a prepaid label we send after booking. Either way you get the same free diagnosis before anything's approved.
