The rules, briefly
Alcohol is permitted only for residents of legal age in their own residence hall room; it is not permitted in public campus spaces without an approved event license, and other drugs are prohibited by federal law regardless of state status.
Medical amnesty
A student who calls for help during an alcohol or drug emergency — for themselves or someone else — is protected from conduct charges for the possession or use itself, specifically so fear of getting in trouble never delays a call for real medical help.
In and around Porter Falls
Porter Campus Safety operates from the ground level of Millwright Hall around the clock during the semester and coordinates with the Porter Falls Police and Fire departments, whose stations are both within a mile of campus. For a real emergency the number is 911.

Residence halls: Alcohol permitted only for residents 21+ in their own room. Medical amnesty: Calling for help is protected, for the caller and the person in crisis. Support: Confidential counseling, no automatic conduct referral for seeking help.
