How it works
Students book a 20-minute fitting through Career Services, take up to three pieces per visit, and keep them — nothing is borrowed or returned. The closet is stocked from employer and alumni donations plus a small annual budget.
Beyond clothing
Staff on duty during Career Closet hours also do a five-minute portfolio or LinkedIn photo, so a student can leave with the outfit and the professional headshot for their PorterConnect profile on the same visit.
In and around Porter Falls
Career Services works with every major, but the pattern is the same across them: a required internship, co-op or clinical placement before graduation, listed on each program page. Ninety-six percent of Porter undergraduates complete one, most of them with an employer in the Valley or the Cities.
The practical details
Location: Founders Union, Room 158. Cost: Free; keep the pieces you take. Sizes: Adult XS–4XL, restocked each semester. Anything time-sensitive — an accommodation, a booking, a deadline — is worth confirming directly before you rely on it, because the specifics here can change from term to term.
