Career services for alumni

Career support doesn't end at graduation — what Porter alumni can still use, for free.

Home / Career services for alumni

What's available

Whether you're two years or twenty years out, an adviser will review your résumé, prep you for interviews, talk through a career change, or help you negotiate an offer. Appointments are remote so location doesn't matter. The alumni job board and employer connections stay open to you.

Reconnecting

If you never used Career Services as a student, it's not too late — alumni advising is the same service. Claim your alumni account, and consider joining the mentor network on the other side, as a mentor to current students in your field.

In and around Porter Falls

The UW–Porter Falls Foundation shares the Depot with admissions, which is deliberate: the people who fund scholarships and the students who receive them use the same front door. Most gifts to Porter are small, local and recurring.

The practical details

Included for life: One-on-one career advising by phone or video, résumé and interview help, and the alumni job board. Also: The mentor network, salary-negotiation coaching, and career-change advising. How: Book through the alumni portal with your alumni login; no fee, no time limit. Anything time-sensitive — an accommodation, a booking, a deadline — is worth confirming directly before you rely on it, because the specifics here can change from term to term.

If you have a question

The office behind this is UW–Porter Falls Foundation & Alumni Relations (Welcome Center at the Depot). Call (715) 555–0280 or email foundation@uwporterfalls.edu during the fall and spring terms, or sign in to MyPorter to send a message or book a time. If it turns out another office owns the question, they will route it rather than send you back to the start.

Fictional information

UW–Porter Falls is a work of parody. Every office, person, building, phone number and statistic on this page is invented; nothing here describes a real institution or a service you can actually contact.
