How the numbers are collected

Porter surveys graduates roughly six months after commencement, supplemented by LinkedIn-style outcome tracking where a graduate cannot be reached directly; the published rate always states its response rate and collection window so it can be read honestly.

Where graduates actually go

Roughly two-thirds of graduates who stay in Wesconsin take a first job in the Valley or the Cities; the rest are spread regionally and nationally, concentrated wherever a student’s co-op employer happened to be. Licensure fields — nursing, education, some engineering tracks — publish pass-rate data separately on their program pages.

Continuing education

A meaningful share of “in graduate school” graduates stay at Porter for one of the eight graduate programs, usually while working; the rest scatter to programs chosen for a specific advisor or specialty rather than name recognition.

The practical details

Employed or in grad school, 6 mo.: 94%. Required internship/co-op completion: 96%. Reported by: First-destination survey, six months after graduation. These specifics can change from year to year, so confirm anything time-sensitive directly with the office below before you rely on it.

If you have a question

This is handled by Career Services (Founders Union, Room 160). Call (715) 555–0205 or email careers@uwporterfalls.edu during the fall and spring terms, or sign in to MyPorter to send a message or book a time. If it turns out another office owns the question, they will route it rather than send you back to the start.

Fictional information

UW–Porter Falls is a work of parody. Every office, person, phone number and statistic on this page is invented; nothing here describes a real institution or a service you can actually contact.
