After the project
Engagements close with a summary written for a general audience, the partner’s feedback, and a plan for maintaining whatever the work produced — a dataset, a process, a design — once the students have moved on.
In and around Porter Falls
Research at Porter is applied and partner-driven: a Valley Health quality project, a DNR study on the Porter River, a manufacturing-process fix for a county employer. The Office of Research & Sponsored Programs in Millwright Hall handles the review, the training records and the sponsored-project paperwork so the work can start on time.

Front door: One intake form, one staff contact. Good fit: Defined need, a timeline, a contact who can decide. Close-out: Public summary plus a sustainability plan. These specifics can shift from term to term, so confirm anything time-sensitive — a deadline, an appointment, an eligibility rule — before you count on it.
