What it is
Founders Drive closes to traffic on the first Friday of the month from May through October for a night market of local food trucks, craft vendors and a rotating slate of student organization tables and performances.
Town-and-gown, literally
The market is co-organized by University Communications and the Porter Falls Downtown Association specifically because it's one of the few recurring events that draws both students and long-time residents to the same block.

Porter Falls is a town of about 17,000 that has always shared its workforce with the university. Projects are scoped to the Valley first: Porter, Cedar Bluff and Redgranite before anywhere else.
