Leadership
Dr. Thaddeus Marsh
Dean, College of Education, Health & Human Sciences, since 2021
Thaddeus Marsh has led the College of Education, Health & Human Sciences since 2021. It is Porter's largest administrative college and its structure confuses new students every fall: it is the parent unit over both the College of Education and the College of Health Sciences, which keep their own deans, buildings, and student-facing identities for admissions and career purposes, plus several departments (Health & Nutrition Sciences, Psychology, Rehabilitation & Human Services, Teacher Education) that feed programs in both.
“Nobody applies to the College of Education, Health & Human Sciences,” he tells incoming advisers. “They apply to Nursing, or Elementary Education, or Psychology. My job is making sure the plumbing between those programs and their shared departments actually works.”
