College of Computing & Information Sciences
Game Design & Development
Programming, art and design, taught together, because that's how games actually get made.
About this program
This program pairs programming with game design theory and digital art, and every cohort ships a complete playable game as its senior project — usually several, since teams are cross-disciplinary and iterate all year. Students leave with a portfolio, not just a transcript.
What you will be able to do
- Program interactive systems using industry game engines
- Design game mechanics, levels and player-facing systems
- Produce 2D and 3D art assets for interactive media
- Ship a complete, playable senior capstone game
