How booking works
Rooms are reserved online up to two weeks ahead in two-hour blocks; a room held past a 15-minute grace period without check-in through the door reader releases automatically back to the pool.
Choosing a room
Library rooms are quieter and closer to research help; Founders Union rooms are better for louder group work or anything running past library hours, since the union stays open later.
The practical details
Where: Halvorsen Library (12 rooms), Founders Union (4 rooms). Booking window: Up to two weeks ahead, two-hour blocks. Cost: Free with a Porter Card. Anything time-sensitive — an accommodation, a booking, a deadline — is worth confirming directly before you rely on it, because the specifics here can change from term to term.
If you have a question
Start at the contact directory or the Porter Student Help Desk in Founders Union 118, which is the single place to go when it is not obvious which office owns a question. You can also sign in to MyPorter to message an office or book a time.
Fictional information
UW–Porter Falls is a work of parody. Every office, person, building, phone number and statistic on this page is invented; nothing here describes a real institution or a service you can actually contact.
