Because the academic core is 86 acres and mostly level, most accessible routes simply follow the paved Riverfront Trail and the Porter Loop stops rather than a separate detour; the exceptions — the older wing of the Applied Arts Building, the Millrace overlook near Founders Union — are flagged individually on the map.
Elevators and workarounds
Every multi-story building has at least one elevator, and the map shows live outage status pulled from a facilities feed rather than a static note, since an out-of-service elevator is exactly the kind of thing that makes a static map useless the week it matters.

Construction fencing and winter ice both regularly close a marked route for a period of days; Facilities posts detours to the same map rather than a separate page, and Campus Safety can arrange an escort around a closure with same-day notice.
