About the event
Fall finals run Monday, December 14 through Friday, December 18. The university resolves two situations. A direct conflict is two exams in the same block. An overload is three or more exams on one calendar day. Two exams on the same day with a gap between them is not a conflict, and neither is “my flight leaves Thursday.”
The Registrar applies the rule. A common exam stays where it is. Otherwise the higher-numbered course moves, unless the Registrar designates a different section. The make-up goes into the Friday, December 18 conflict block, and you and both instructors are told by December 4.

Location and access
The form is in MyPorter under Registration › Final exams, and it takes about three minutes. If you would rather do it in person, the Registrar’s counter in Founders Union 105 is step-free. Students with approved testing accommodations book each final separately through the Testing Center at least 48 hours ahead. Finals-week slots fill faster than any other week, so book in November.

Fictional information
UW–Porter Falls is a work of parody. This deadline, the exam grid and the conflict rules are invented for a fictional university. Check your own institution’s schedule before you skip a real final.
