Sustainability Week Repair Café

April 8 · Jarvis Technology Center · Free

Home / Events / Sustainability Week Repair Café

What it is

Bring a broken bike, lamp, garment, or small appliance and fix it with a volunteer who knows how, instead of throwing it out. Part of a week of programming — a campus cleanup, a clothing swap, the residence-hall energy competition results.

The campus has committed to carbon-neutral operations by 2045; the annual progress report is published with real numbers.

Getting there and getting in

The campus is 86 acres and nothing is more than a ten-minute walk from anything else; see the building directory for Jarvis Technology Center. For an in-person event that lists registration, register through the office below; walk-ins are usually fine for anything marked open or free.

What to expect when you arrive

No registration is required for this one — arrive any time during the listed window and expect a short check-in table near the entrance if the event runs one.

If you can't make it

Many events like this repeat each semester or year — filter the full calendar by "Community" to find the next one. Not every session is recorded; if this one matters and you cannot attend, ask Office of Sustainability directly whether materials or a recap will be available afterward.

Fictional information

UW–Porter Falls is a work of parody. This event, its date, venue and details are invented; nothing here announces a real event.
