What it is
A short outdoor ceremony at the plaza: a reading of names, remarks from a student veteran, and the raising of the flag. About 400 Porter students use education benefits connected to military service.
The Veteran Resource Center holds an open house afterward in its space in Founders Union.

Getting there and getting in
The campus is 86 acres and nothing is more than a ten-minute walk from anything else; see the building directory for Memorial Plaza. Accessible routes and entrances are on the accessible campus map. For an in-person event that lists registration, register through the office below; walk-ins are usually fine for anything marked open or free.
What to expect when you arrive
No registration is required for this one — arrive any time during the listed window and expect a short check-in table near the entrance if the event runs one.
If you can't make it
Many events like this repeat each semester or year — filter the full calendar by "Community" to find the next one. Not every session is recorded; if this one matters and you cannot attend, ask Veteran Resource Center directly whether materials or a recap will be available afterward.
Fictional information
UW–Porter Falls is a work of parody. This event, its date, venue and details are invented; nothing here announces a real event.
