Daniel Aluko

Background

Daniel Aluko is on the faculty of the Department of Humanities and holds a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto. Before Porter, Daniel worked in public history and museums.

Daniel's work centers on teaching and curriculum in social theory and modern history, including course redesign and mentoring newer instructors.

Teaching

Daniel regularly teaches courses in History, Philosophy, Religious Studies. Specific sections and syllabi are listed in the class schedule each term.

Daniel designs courses around clear, visible learning outcomes, frequent retrieval practice, and prompt feedback, and revises the sequence each year based on where students actually get stuck.

Advising and office hours
