Devon Underwood is on the faculty of the Department of Music & Theatre and holds a Ph.D. from Northwestern University. Before Porter, Devon engineered and produced records.

Devon's work centers on teaching and curriculum in costume design and construction and theatre history, including course redesign and mentoring newer instructors.

Teaching

Devon regularly teaches courses in Music, Theatre. Specific sections and syllabi are listed in the class schedule each term.

Devon designs courses around clear, visible learning outcomes, frequent retrieval practice, and prompt feedback, and revises the sequence each year based on where students actually get stuck.

Advising and office hours
