Hannah Adebayo

Background

Hannah Adebayo is on the faculty of the Department of World Languages and holds a Ph.D. from McGill University. Before Porter, Hannah translated technical and literary material professionally.

Hannah's research focuses on second-language acquisition, with related work in French and Francophone studies; undergraduates are involved in the lab most terms.

Teaching

Hannah regularly teaches courses in Spanish, French, American Sign Language. Specific sections and syllabi are listed in the class schedule each term.

Courses lean on current problems from the field: students read recent work, reproduce a result or method, and then extend it. Hannah builds in low-stakes practice before graded work and gives written feedback on drafts.

Advising and office hours
