Forming a team
Any student can register a team online with a minimum roster size, or sign up as a free agent to be placed on one; league divisions split by competitiveness so a first-time team isn't matched against a stacked veteran roster.
Where and when games run
Games run evenings at the Recreation Center and the North Campus fields on a published weekly schedule; playoff brackets post the week before the season's final week, and champions get a t-shirt, not a trophy case entry.
In and around Porter Falls
The Ironclads compete in NCAA Division III as members of the Wesconsin Collegiate Athletic Conference, and home events are at the Ironhouse Athletic Center and the riverside fields off North Campus. Millrace Week in October is still built around the homecoming football game.
The practical details
Seasons: Fall, spring and a shorter winter season. Sports: Flag football, volleyball, basketball, soccer, dodgeball, esports. Cost: Free; a small forfeit deposit for team sports. Anything time-sensitive — an accommodation, a booking, a deadline — is worth confirming directly before you rely on it, because the specifics here can change from term to term.
If you have a question
The office behind this is Ironclad Athletics (Ironhouse Athletic Center). Call (715) 555–0195 or email athletics@uwporterfalls.edu during the fall and spring terms, or sign in to MyPorter to send a message or book a time. If it turns out another office owns the question, they will route it rather than send you back to the start.
Fictional information
UW–Porter Falls is a work of parody. Every office, person, building, phone number and statistic on this page is invented; nothing here describes a real institution or a service you can actually contact.
