Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach (Part-Time)

A part-time assistant coaching position with Ironclad women’s soccer, an NCAA Division III program that finished 13–4–1 last season.

Home / About / Work at Porter / Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach

About the position

Ironclad women’s soccer plays home matches at Millwright Stadium by the Porter River, carries a roster of about 25, and posted a team GPA of 3.46 last season. Like every program at Porter, it offers no athletic scholarships, and practice is scheduled around labs and clinical rotations rather than the reverse; the team page has the program’s record and roster.

The assistant coach works directly with the head coach on training, scouting, and recruiting, with particular responsibility for goalkeepers and set pieces. Hours are heaviest from August through early November and lighter in the spring.

How to apply

Apply through the employment portal linked from Work at Porter, citing position number PF-26-0471. Upload: a cover letter, a résumé, a one-page coaching philosophy, and three references. Review of applications begins December 7, 2026 and continues until the position is filled; applications complete by that date are guaranteed full consideration.

Equal opportunity and background check

UW–Porter Falls is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer. Qualified applicants receive consideration without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, national origin, ancestry, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, arrest or conviction record (subject to the job-related exceptions in state law), military or veteran status, or any other protected status. See the university’s nondiscrimination statement.

The finalist must complete a criminal background check and a misconduct reference check with prior employers before an offer is final; a motor vehicle record check is also required because the position drives university vans. A conviction record is reviewed for its relationship to the duties of this position and is not an automatic bar. Under state open-records law, the names of up to five finalists may be released on request.

Fictional information

UW–Porter Falls is a work of parody. This job posting is invented: there is no coaching position, recruiting budget, salary, or search committee, Dana Kvale does not exist, and applications sent anywhere go nowhere.
