Regional Accreditation Reaffirmed Through 2036 With No Findings
A visiting review team recommended full reaffirmation and commended the university’s assessment and advising practices.
UW–Porter Falls’s institutional accreditation has been reaffirmed for the maximum ten-year cycle, through 2036, with no formal findings requiring follow-up. The decision follows a self-study, a comprehensive evidence review, and a visit by a team of peer reviewers from other universities.
The review team’s report commended two areas in particular: a program-assessment process that the team said actually closes the loop — changing courses in response to evidence rather than filing reports — and an advising model that gives every student a four-year plan and tracks progress against it. The team noted class-size pressure in high-demand programs as a challenge to watch.

Specialized accreditation for individual programs — engineering, nursing, education, business, and others — runs on separate cycles, all currently in good standing.
