Campus-Wide Wi-Fi Upgrade Finishes Ahead of Fall Move-In
A two-year, building-by-building wireless overhaul is complete, roughly tripling peak network capacity in residence halls.
Technology Services has completed a two-year, building-by-building overhaul of the campus wireless network, finishing the last residence halls just ahead of fall move-in. The university says peak-capacity wireless throughput in residence halls is now roughly triple what it was before the project began.
The project replaced aging access points installed more than a decade ago and added coverage in previously weak spots, including several stairwells, the Fieldhouse concourse, and outdoor gathering spaces around Founders Union.

Students reporting a persistent dead zone after move-in can submit a ticket through the Technology Help Desk; a walk-through team will confirm coverage with a signal survey.
