Dual-Enrollment Program Will Let Regional High Schoolers Finish a Full Year of Credit
An expanded agreement embeds Porter courses in fourteen regional high schools, taught by certified high-school teachers under university oversight.
UW–Porter Falls is expanding its dual-enrollment program so that students at fourteen regional high schools can complete up to 30 university credits — a full first year — before graduating, at no tuition cost to the student. The courses are taught in the high school by teachers who hold the credentials to be adjunct instructors, using the university’s syllabus and assessments, with a Porter faculty liaison in each subject.
The credits are Porter credits, appear on a Porter transcript, and transfer under the same rules as any other. Advisors work with participating students in their junior year so the courses they take actually apply to an intended major.

Participating high schools are concentrated in rural districts where the nearest campus is over an hour away.
