Theatre Program Announces a Season Built Around Work Made in Wesconsin
The 2026–27 mainstage season features two plays by Wesconsin playwrights and a devised piece created by the ensemble.
The theatre program has announced a 2026–27 mainstage season organized around new and recent work with Wesconsin roots: a play by a Milwaukee playwright, a contemporary drama set in a Driftless-region farm town, a devised ensemble piece developed over the fall from interviews with local residents, and a spring musical.
The devised piece is a first for the program. A group of student performers, a dramaturg, and a faculty director will spend the fall semester in the community collecting oral histories, then build the script collaboratively in the spring for a May run.

Auditions are open to students in any major. Single tickets and student passes go on sale in August.
