Five More Wesconsin Two-Year Colleges Sign Guaranteed-Transfer Agreements
Students who complete an associate degree at a partner college with a 2.5 GPA are now guaranteed admission and junior standing in a matching Porter program.
UW–Porter Falls has signed guaranteed-transfer agreements with five additional Wesconsin technical and two-year colleges, bringing the total to fourteen. Under the agreements, a student who earns an associate degree in a mapped pathway with a cumulative 2.5 GPA is guaranteed admission to the matching bachelor’s program and enters with full junior standing.
Each agreement includes a course-by-course equivalency table maintained jointly by both institutions and reviewed annually, so students can see before they enroll exactly how their credits will apply. Advisors at both ends have access to the same degree-audit view.
“The worst outcome for a transfer student is arriving and discovering that twelve credits evaporated. These agreements are mostly about making that impossible.”

Transfer students are now roughly a third of each incoming class. The university has also expanded evening advising hours and a dedicated transfer-student orientation track.
