Dr. Priya Adeyemi

Priya Adeyemi has led the College of Science & Mathematics since 2019. The college does not award its own undergraduate majors — instead, its five departments (Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Mathematics, and Physics & Astronomy) teach the foundational coursework that every science-adjacent program at Porter depends on, from nursing's anatomy prerequisites to the calculus sequence every engineer takes in year one.
Two majors, Applied Mathematics and Environmental Science, are jointly administered with the College of Applied & Technical Studies: the coursework lives in her college, the degree is conferred through theirs. She calls the arrangement “the least glamorous, most load-bearing wall on campus.”
