Halvorsen Library vs. Public Library: Halvorsen = academic collections, 24/5 during semester, subject librarians, special collections, interlibrary loan for research, silent floors. Public = popular reading, community programs, Library of Things, Local History Room, longer hours weekends, no ID needed for building access. Use both: They’re 2 blocks apart; the courier makes them one collection.

Fictional information

UW–Porter Falls is a work of parody. The library, partnership, collections, and programs described here are invented for this fictional university and town. No real libraries are depicted.
