The story

GRANITE RIDGE — Down 2–0 at halftime, UW–Porter Falls scored three times in the second half to beat Granite Ridge 3–2 in a WCAC match Saturday afternoon. Senior forward Maddie Oyelaran, who set the program's single-season record with 17 goals a year ago, scored twice, including the winner from the penalty spot in the 86th minute. The Ironclads improve to 6–1–1 and 3–1 in the conference; Granite Ridge drops to 5–4 and 2–2.

Granite Ridge scored on a header off a corner kick in the 14th minute and again in the 37th, when a long ball got behind Porter's back line. Head coach Kelsey Arnquist switched to a back three at halftime and pushed sophomore Ruby Castellanos up the left wing.

It took nine minutes. Oyelaran finished a through ball from junior midfielder Greta Sorensen in the 54th minute, and Sorensen tied it herself in the 69th with a shot from about 25 yards that went in off the underside of the crossbar. With four minutes left Castellanos was brought down in the box, and Oyelaran sent the keeper the wrong way. Junior goalkeeper Paige Duerst made four saves, two of them in stoppage time.
