Built around a working week
Most adult students at Porter are finishing a degree while working somewhere in the Valley, so advising, tutoring and many required courses run in the evening, online or in eight-week blocks. A degree audit at intake shows exactly what is left and what prior work already counts.

The campus has enrolled returning students since it was a manual-training school, and the practical supports reflect that: reserved parking near Millwright Hall, a quiet lounge in the library, and childcare referral through the Child & Family Center.
In and around Porter Falls
Most families reach campus from the west on US 12 or by regional coach into the Depot District, and the Welcome Center at the Depot — the restored 1911 rail station, two blocks from Founders Hall — is where visits start. Counselors travel to college and transfer fairs across Porter County, the Valley and the Cities each fall, and the office keeps Saturday hours during Millrace Week and through the month of April.
