What it honors
Sustained athletic achievement at Porter, but also what someone did afterward — a coaching career, service to the program, a life that reflects well on it. Whole teams are inducted for a landmark season; long-serving coaches on a separate track.
The wall
Inductees are added to a physical display in the Ironhouse Athletic Center concourse with a short citation, and profiled on the athletics site for the year — the same “visible and permanent” principle as the academic Distinguished Alumni Awards.
In and around Porter Falls
The Ironclads compete in NCAA Division III as members of the Wesconsin Collegiate Athletic Conference, and home events are at the Ironhouse Athletic Center and the riverside fields off North Campus. Millrace Week in October is still built around the homecoming football game.
The practical details
Inducted: Each year at a Millrace Week ceremony. Eligible: Athletes ten years past their last season; coaches and teams on their own timelines. Nominate: Anyone, through the athletics site. Anything time-sensitive — an accommodation, a booking, a deadline — is worth confirming directly before you rely on it, because the specifics here can change from term to term.
If you have a question
The office behind this is Ironclad Athletics (Ironhouse Athletic Center). Call (715) 555–0195 or email athletics@uwporterfalls.edu during the fall and spring terms, or sign in to MyPorter to send a message or book a time. If it turns out another office owns the question, they will route it rather than send you back to the start.
Fictional information
UW–Porter Falls is a work of parody. Every office, person, building, phone number and statistic on this page is invented; nothing here describes a real institution or a service you can actually contact.
