Course description

Structure and properties of metals, polymers, ceramics, and composites; phase diagrams; heat treatment; and failure.

Materials Science is a lower-division undergraduate course in Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering (MFGE 2500), carrying 3 credits, and is typically offered fall and spring.

Prerequisites
