Senior Design Expo

April 29 · Ironclad Fieldhouse · Open to the public

Home / Events / Senior Design Expo

What it is

The year's capstone: teams from every engineering and computing program present the projects they have built to a real client's spec over one or two semesters. Industry judges score a design review; the public walks the floor.

The strongest projects come out of a partnership with a regional employer, several of whom hire on the spot.

Getting there and getting in

The campus is 86 acres and nothing is more than a ten-minute walk from anything else; see the building directory for Ironclad Fieldhouse. For an in-person event that lists registration, register through the office below; walk-ins are usually fine for anything marked open or free.

What to expect when you arrive

No registration is required for this one — arrive any time during the listed window and expect a short check-in table near the entrance if the event runs one.

If you can't make it

Many events like this repeat each semester or year — filter the full calendar by "Academic" to find the next one. Not every session is recorded; if this one matters and you cannot attend, ask College of Engineering & Technology directly whether materials or a recap will be available afterward.

Fictional information

UW–Porter Falls is a work of parody. This event, its date, venue and details are invented; nothing here announces a real event.
