Ibrahim Weaver

Background

Ibrahim Weaver is on the faculty of the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering and holds a Ph.D. from Kansas State University. Before Porter, Ibrahim led an embedded-systems group at an aerospace supplier.

Ibrahim's research focuses on electromagnetics and antennas, with related work in sensors and instrumentation; undergraduates are involved in the lab most terms.

Teaching

Ibrahim regularly teaches courses in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering. Specific sections and syllabi are listed in the class schedule each term.

Courses lean on current problems from the field: students read recent work, reproduce a result or method, and then extend it. Ibrahim builds in low-stakes practice before graded work and gives written feedback on drafts.
