Kendra Haddad

Background

Kendra Haddad is on the faculty of the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering and holds a Ph.D. from Virginia Tech. Before Porter, Kendra developed firmware for medical devices.

Kendra's research focuses on renewable energy integration, with related work in power systems and the grid; undergraduates are involved in the lab most terms.

Teaching

Kendra regularly teaches courses in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering. Specific sections and syllabi are listed in the class schedule each term.

Courses lean on current problems from the field: students read recent work, reproduce a result or method, and then extend it. Kendra builds in low-stakes practice before graded work and gives written feedback on drafts.
