Wren Sundqvist

Background

Wren Sundqvist is on the faculty of the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering and holds a Ph.D. from the University of Washington. Before Porter, Wren did geotechnical investigations for a transportation department.

Wren's research focuses on environmental and water-treatment engineering, with related work in sustainable infrastructure; undergraduates are involved in the lab most terms.

Teaching

Wren regularly teaches courses in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering. Specific sections and syllabi are listed in the class schedule each term.

Courses lean on current problems from the field: students read recent work, reproduce a result or method, and then extend it. Wren builds in low-stakes practice before graded work and gives written feedback on drafts.
