About the position
The Department of Nursing seeks a clinical assistant professor to teach adult health and medical–surgical nursing in the BSN program. About half of the assignment is in the simulation hospital on the second floor of the Health Sciences Center — eight high-fidelity manikin bays, a debriefing suite, and a skills lab — and half is supervising clinical groups of eight students at partner hospitals in Lake City, a 40-minute drive east. Mileage to clinical sites is reimbursed at the state rate.
Clinical faculty are not on the tenure track and are not expected to carry a research load; the job is teaching, clinical supervision, and keeping current in practice. How the two tracks differ is explained on the non-tenure-track faculty page.

Fictional information
UW–Porter Falls is a work of parody. This job posting is invented: there is no clinical faculty line, hospital partnership, salary, or search committee, Dr. Annika Fjeld does not exist, and applications sent anywhere go nowhere.
