The core requirements
Division III eligibility rests on being a full-time, degree-seeking student making normal progress. There's no athletic scholarship at this level, so eligibility is about academic standing: earn enough credits each year, keep your GPA above the threshold, and stay in good conduct standing.
Staying on top of it
The student-athlete academic support office tracks each athlete's progress, flags a problem early, and coordinates tutoring and study hall. Talk to a compliance staffer before doing anything unusual — transferring, dropping below full time, taking a term off, or signing an NIL deal.
In and around Porter Falls
The Ironclads compete in NCAA Division III as members of the Wesconsin Collegiate Athletic Conference, and home events are at the Ironhouse Athletic Center and the riverside fields off North Campus. Millrace Week in October is still built around the homecoming football game.
The practical details
Enrollment: Full-time each term of competition, with limited exceptions. Progress: Satisfactory progress toward a specific degree, checked each year — a minimum number of credits earned annually and a minimum GPA. Amateurism: No pay for athletic performance; name, image, and likeness activity is allowed within the rules. Anything time-sensitive — an accommodation, a booking, a deadline — is worth confirming directly before you rely on it, because the specifics here can change from term to term.
