Find your people

Porter organizations span robotics, gaming, arts, sustainability, culture, faith, recreation, professional interests and community service.

Start something

Students register a new organization with a constitution, adviser, officer training, budget plan and inclusive membership practices.

Make it happen

The Student Involvement Hub supports room reservations, events, marketing, funding, travel and leadership development.

Find your people

Porter organisations run heavy on robotics, gaming, professional societies and service teams, with the usual range of cultural, faith, recreation and arts groups alongside them. The involvement fair in the first week of fall is the fastest way to find three or four to try.

Start something

Registering a new organisation takes a short constitution, an adviser, five interested students and officer training; the involvement suite in Founders Union helps with the paperwork, a first meeting and a budget request. Inclusive-membership rules apply to any group that wants funding or space.

In and around Porter Falls

Day-to-day life at Porter runs between Founders Union, the residence halls on the south quad and North Campus across the Riverfront Trail. The Porter Loop shuttle, the lighted trail and a compact footprint mean most students can get anywhere on campus in under fifteen minutes on foot.

The practical details

Count: About 120 registered organizations. Start one: Constitution, adviser, officer training, five members. Funding: Student-fee allocations through student government. These specifics can shift from term to term, so confirm anything time-sensitive — a deadline, an appointment, an eligibility rule — before you count on it.

If you have a question

This is handled by Dean of Students Office (Founders Union, Room 200). Call (715) 555-0182 or email deanofstudents@uwporterfalls.edu during the fall and spring terms, or use MyPorter to send a message or book a time. If another office turns out to own the question, they will pass it along rather than send you back to the beginning.

Fictional information

UW–Porter Falls is a work of parody. Every office, person, building, phone number and statistic on this page is invented; nothing here describes a real institution or a service you can actually contact.
