Background

Trevor Osei is on the faculty of the Department of Communication & Media and holds a Ph.D. from Purdue University. Before Porter, Trevor was a technical writer and documentation lead.

Trevor's work centers on teaching and curriculum in content strategy and media production, including course redesign and mentoring newer instructors.

Teaching

Trevor regularly teaches courses in Communication Studies, Professional & Technical Communication, English. Specific sections and syllabi are listed in the class schedule each term.

Trevor designs courses around clear, visible learning outcomes, frequent retrieval practice, and prompt feedback, and revises the sequence each year based on where students actually get stuck.
