Your mailing address
Students in the residence halls get a campus address and a mailbox: your name, the hall and box number, then "1 Founders Drive, Porter Falls, WE 54999." Use that exact format when you order things — a package addressed only to the hall with no box number slows down. Letter mail goes straight to your box; you check it with your Campus Card. Commuters and off-campus students use their home address, but can have the occasional package sent to the Campus Service Center for pickup by arrangement.
Set up mail forwarding in MyPorter before you leave for the summer or graduate, and keep your permanent address current — that is where tax forms and a diploma go.
Packages
Every carrier — USPS, UPS, FedEx, Amazon — delivers to the central mail center, which logs each parcel and texts and emails you a pickup code within a few hours. Bring the code and your Campus Card to the hall package room or the mail center window during posted hours; oversized items and anything requiring a signature are held at the main window. Perishables and meal-kit deliveries are refrigerated briefly but should be timed for a day you can collect them quickly.
Unclaimed packages are held about 21 days, then returned to sender, so watch for the notice during finals and move-out.
Printing
Enrolled students get a per-semester printing allocation loaded automatically — enough for normal coursework — usable at any lab, library, or department printer by tapping your Campus Card at the release station (jobs you send hold for a few hours, so nothing prints into a tray you are not standing at). Black-and-white pulls from the allocation at a low per-page rate; color costs more; run out and you top up with Campus Cash. Double-siding is the default to stretch it.
The library and the Campus Service Center have large-format plotters for research posters and studio work, charged by size and paper.
Shipping, copying and finishing
The Campus Service Center sells stamps, ships outgoing parcels through the major carriers, and does the finishing work you need a few times a year: spiral and thermal binding for a thesis or portfolio, lamination, mounting, résumé and cover-letter paper, and basic help getting a file print-ready. Bulk copying and mailing for a student organization or a department goes through here too, billed to the group's account. Notary service is available by appointment at no charge to students.
