Women’s Basketball Roster 2026–27

The 2026–27 Ironclad women’s basketball roster: a share of last season’s conference title, the entire starting five back, and five health-sciences majors working around clinical rotations.

The 2026–27 roster

Rosters are current as of October 9, 2026 and are updated by Athletic Communications after each roster change. (C) marks a team captain. Hometowns are in Wesconsin unless marked †. Majors are the student’s declared program of record in MyPorter, which, for first-years, is subject to change and frequently does.

Roster notes

  • Everyone is back. Last season’s starting five — Maren Sletten, Rachel Ostby, Lucy Quam, Rylee Lamers and Emery Hoeft — all return from the 21–6 team that won a share of the WCAC title, the program’s first since 2014.
  • The record. Senior guard Maren Sletten, a nursing major from Cedar Bluff, set the single-season assist record (152) last February. She has 61 fewer career assists than the all-time leader; the staff has stopped pretending it isn’t counting.
  • Clinical schedules. Five players are in nursing or health-sciences programs. Practice moves to 6 a.m. on the two weekdays when most of them have rotations at the simulation hospital in the Health Sciences Center.
  • Classes. Four seniors, three juniors, four sophomores and three first-years. Team GPA in the fall was 3.41, the highest of any Ironclad team that semester.
  • Captains. Sletten and junior forward Rachel Ostby, the team’s representative on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Following the team

The 2025–26 co-championship banner goes up before the home opener against St. Brendan College on Wednesday, November 11 at 7:00 p.m.; arrive early, because the ceremony starts at 6:40 and the lift operator does not wait. The full slate is on the winter 2026–27 schedule. Students get in free with a Porter Card; public tickets are on the tickets page.

Fictional information

UW–Porter Falls is a work of parody. Every athlete on this women’s basketball roster is invented — names, numbers, hometowns, heights, class years and majors — as are the coaches and staff; no real student-athlete is listed or described, and the roster belongs to no real team.
