Winter 2026–27 Schedule

How to read this page

All times are local. An asterisk (*) marks a Wesconsin Collegiate Athletic Conference contest. “Home” means Ironclad Fieldhouse for every sport on this page. Results will be added within an hour of each final, as they are on the fall 2026 schedule. Students get in free with a Porter Card; public tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for youth and seniors (tickets page), and the WCAC sets its own tournament prices. Doors open an hour before the first event of the day.

A few things the calendar does to us:

• No home events November 5–7, when the Fieldhouse is held for the WCAC volleyball tournament in case Porter is the top seed.
• No contests during final examinations, December 14–18, and nothing in the Fieldhouse on December 19, which is December commencement.
• Thanksgiving recess is November 25–29 and Winter Term runs January 4–22; teams stay on campus and the athletics department arranges meals when The Forge is on reduced hours (see campus hours).
• Conference basketball is played as doubleheaders at one site: women at 5:30 p.m. and men at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, women at 1:00 p.m. and men at 3:00 p.m. on Saturdays.

Men’s basketball

The WCAC plays a 16-game schedule: Porter meets seven conference opponents twice and, this year, Northern Wesconsin Tech and Lakeview Lutheran once each. Eau Pleine, a nonconference rival in the fall sports, is a full WCAC member in basketball, wrestling and track. Roster: men’s basketball.

Women’s basketball

The 2025–26 co-championship banner is raised before the home opener on November 11. The Ironclad Club hosts a pregame reception in the Fieldhouse concourse before the February 3 doubleheader against Chippewa Valley State. Roster: women’s basketball.

Wrestling

Six WCAC schools sponsor wrestling, so the conference dual season is five meets long. Home duals start at 7:00 p.m. with the national anthem at 6:55; open tournaments run all day, and spectators can come and go. The NCAA Division III championships are March 12–13. Roster: wrestling.

Indoor track & field

The Fieldhouse has no banked oval. Home meets use a six-lane 60-meter straightaway taped on the main floor, the jump runways and pits from the auxiliary gym, and a shot put sector on the north end; the weight throw is contested in the outdoor ring behind Millwright Stadium, a five-minute walk, in whatever weather December provides. Distance runners race only at away meets with 200-meter tracks. The NCAA Division III indoor championships are March 12–13. Rosters: men’s and women’s track & field.

Spring sports and every roster

Baseball, softball, golf and outdoor track & field schedules for spring 2027 post by January 15; baseball and softball open on the road in late February and come home when the riverside fields thaw, which the grounds crew declines to predict. Every Ironclad roster for 2026–27:
