Millwright Stadium has a synthetic-turf field ringed by an eight-lane track, seating for about 4,000 on the home side and 1,500 on the visitor side, a press box, and a field house with locker rooms, a training room, and equipment storage. It hosts football, men's and women's soccer, and outdoor track and field.
Attending
Students enter free with a Porter Card at the north gate. Homecoming football during Millrace Week is the largest crowd of the year, around 4,500. Public tickets and parking maps are posted by event. The adjacent gravel lots open two hours before kickoff; the Porter Loop shuttle adds a stadium stop on game days.
Track and community use
The track is open to students, staff, and the public for walking and running whenever it is not reserved for practice or a meet — hours are posted at the gate. Local high schools rent the stadium for their own meets and championship games.
Accessibility
The home-side entrance and the first seating row are step-free, with accessible and companion seating at field level and mid-concourse. Accessible parking is in the paved lot nearest the home gate. The track surface is firm and level for wheelchair use during open hours.
The name
The stadium keeps the Millwrights name the teams dropped decades ago. It opened in 1965 as a grass field and cinder track; the turf and the eight-lane track went in during a 2019 renovation funded partly by a gift from an alumni construction firm.
